Jurišna vas is a village in the Pohorje hills in the Slovenska Bistrica municipality in northeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Podravje statistical region.[2]
A Late Roman settlement, the Ančnik ancient hillfort, has been excavated near the present day settlement. It includes well preserved foundations of a 1.5 metre thick defence wall, traces of a forge and residential buildings, all dating from the 4th century AD.[3]
